At AWM Windows Ltd, we aim to provide a clear, professional and reliable service from quotation through to delivery and installation. The following Terms and Conditions explain how we prepare estimates, confirm orders, carry out installations, and manage payments, warranties, and customer responsibilities.
All estimates are prepared as accurately as possible based on the information available at the time. Estimates are provided for guidance only and do not constitute a fixed quotation unless confirmed in writing by the Company.
Unless otherwise stated, estimates remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue. AWM Windows Ltd reserves the right to withdraw or revise an estimate within that period if required.
Our pricing is based on the full scope of work outlined in the estimate or quotation. If the Customer requests changes to the design, specification, finish, quantity, delivery arrangements, or scope of works, the Company reserves the right to revise the quoted price accordingly.
The Company also reserves the right to amend pricing before delivery or installation where increases in material, manufacturing, transport, labour, or supplier costs arise beyond its reasonable control.
No order shall be binding until it has been confirmed or acknowledged in writing by AWM Windows Ltd.
Customers are responsible for carefully checking all drawings, dimensions, specifications, finishes, and order details before approval. Approval of the order confirms acceptance that these details are correct.
As many of our windows, doors, and glazing products are bespoke and made to order, cancellation or amendment rights may be limited once production has started.
All quotations and installation arrangements assume uninterrupted access to the property, including no interference from other contractors during the agreed works.
The Customer is responsible for providing reasonable access to:
The Customer should also ensure that curtains, blinds, fragile items, furniture, and other obstructions near the work area are removed or protected before installation begins.
The Company does not undertake to remove blinds, roller blinds, security grilles, curtains, nets, or similar fixtures unless expressly agreed in writing.
The Customer is responsible for informing the Company if the property is located in a conservation area, is a listed building, or is otherwise subject to planning restrictions, landlord restrictions, or local authority requirements.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, AWM Windows Ltd is not responsible for obtaining:
Unless specifically included in writing, the contract price does not include repairs or remedial work relating to:
If additional work becomes necessary during the project, the Company will inform the Customer wherever reasonably possible before carrying out that work. Any agreed variation may result in additional charges.
AWM Windows Ltd will take reasonable care when working in and around the Customer’s property. However, the Company cannot accept responsibility for damage, interruption, or reinstatement relating to existing fixtures, fittings, decorations, trims, skirting boards, dado rails, or similar items where removal or disturbance is necessary as part of the works.
The Company shall not be responsible for the disconnection, interruption, or reinstatement of:
unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.
Unless otherwise stated, the Company will not remove large quantities of rubbish or non-installation waste from the property. Waste removal can be arranged upon request and may be subject to an additional charge.
The Company will make good around newly installed products to a reasonable pre-decoration standard. Painting, decorating, and exact matching of existing finishes or external materials, including render or pebbledash, are not included unless specifically stated in writing.
Delivery and installation timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on manufacturing schedules, final survey results, site readiness, availability of materials, and circumstances beyond the Company’s reasonable control.
If delivery or installation is postponed at the Customer’s request, the Company reserves the right to charge for any reasonable additional transport, storage, handling, or rebooking costs incurred.
The Customer must inspect all Goods on delivery and notify the Company of any visible shortages or transport-related damage as soon as reasonably possible.
A deposit is required before production or works commence. The remaining payment structure will be confirmed in writing within the quotation, order confirmation, or contract documents.
Payments may be made by bank transfer or approved card methods. Where card processing fees apply, the Customer will be informed in advance.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, final payment is due in accordance with the agreed payment schedule or within the period stated on the invoice. Late payment may result in interest or recovery action in accordance with the contract terms.
AWM Windows Ltd provides warranty cover in accordance with its written guarantee for the relevant products and installation works. Guarantees take effect once the works have been completed and all payments due under the contract have been made in full.
Where applicable, warranty periods, inspection terms, and product-specific guarantees will be clearly stated within the Customer’s quotation or contract documents.
The Company may take photographs of completed works for portfolio, website, or marketing purposes, provided that no personal information, house number, or identifying property details are disclosed without the Customer’s consent.
The Company shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure arises from events beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, supply chain disruption, transport delays, fire, flood, industrial action, shortages of labour or materials, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects the Customer’s statutory rights.
All contracts entered into with AWM Windows Ltd shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
